“Helt ærligt så er vi ikke kommet hertil for at modtage lektioner i demokrati, eller hvordan vi skal håndtere økonomien,” sagde Barroso ved G20-topmødet
Og:
“Krisen er ikke startet i Europa…denne krise er startet i Nordamerika. Store dele af vores finansielle sektor blev smittet af uortodokse metoder fra visse dele af den finansielle sektor,”

“We are not here to receive lessons in terms of democracy or in terms of how to handle the economy”

Dalrymple om Livingstone – herlig, velskrevet ironi:
No Representation without Taxation: Theodore Dalrymple finds much merit in a proposal from Ken Livingstone
by Theodore Dalrymple – March 13, 2012
Theodore Dalrymple is surprised to find himself agreeing with Ken Livingstone – so long as we also have a new law banning hate speech against the rich.
The resentful define the rich as those who have more money than themselves; while the politicians who play to this resentment never consider themselves as members of the rich.
No one better illustrates this last principle than Kenneth Livingstone, erstwhile mayor of London, and perhaps soon again to be mayor. Mr Livingstone’s company – presumably a sole-trader company – made £238,000 last year and £284,000 the year before. This puts him firmly in the upper one per cent of the population as far as income is concerned; he is, I think it fair to say, one of the rich.
The Bill Is $50, No — Wait — $125 Billion (and Counting) for Spanish Banks
June 10, 2012 – 7:33 am – by David P. Goldman
There must be somebody besides us ex-bankers-in-remission rolling around the floor laughing about the succession of headlines on Saturday afternoon. First came this:
WASHINGTON (AP) — The International Monetary Fund is estimating that Spanish banks need at least a euro40 billion ($49.87 billion) capital injection following a stress test it performed on the country’s financial sector.
and an hour or two later, this:
Spain will seek financial help from its Eurozone partners but exactly how much won’t be known until private audits are undertaken, the country’s economy minister announced Saturday. Earlier, European finance ministers discussed plans to offer Spain up to $125 billion (100 billion euros) in a bid to stabilize its banks — and ease concerns over the even bigger European debt crisis. Nigel Farage – Europe is Collapsing, Buy Gold & Expect QE
7. juni 2012
On the heels of Fed Chairman Bernanke’s comments, Spain being downgraded and key meetings taking place in Europe, today King World News interviewed MEP (Member European Parliament) Nigel Farage, to get his take on the ongoing crisis. Farage told KWN that “when I look into the eyes of the leaders of Europe … what I’m seeing now is madness, absolute, total and utter madness.” Farage also discussed the action in the gold market, but first, here is what Farage had to say about the deteriorating situation in Europe: “Of course, over the last couple of years we’ve had two bailouts of Greece, a bailout of Ireland, Portugal. We’re now on the verge of needing a bailout in Cyprus, but perhaps more significantly, a bailout in Spain.”

Nigel Farage: Member of the European Parliament (MEP) & Founding Member of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) – Nigel is MEP for the South East region and is the leader of the parliamentary party in the EU parliament.
He has worked for British, French and American companies operating in the commodity markets, especially the London Metal Exchange (since 1982).
The central aim of the party is the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union and to regain control of this nation’s governance through our own Parliament at Westminster.
Nigel was a Conservative activist from his schooldays until the overthrow of Margaret Thatcher; John Major’s signing of the Maastricht Treaty brought his membership to an end.

May 24, 2012
On the heels of news out of Greece that a 60-year-old man and his 90-year-old mother leaped to their deaths because of financial despair, today King World News interviewed MEP (Member European Parliament) Nigel Farage, to get his take on the ongoing tragedy and crisis in Europe. Farage told KWN that “we are on the edge of total social breakdown” and “the banking system is now in the most perilous state we’ve seen in over 70 years.” Here is what Farage had to say about the deteriorating situation: “Well, the situation in Greece just goes from bad to worse. We’ve now got a situation where there was the big suicide a few weeks ago, where a 77-year-old man shot himself in the head outside the Greek Parliament. That was the public face of what’s gone wrong.”

Vi skal lige se lidt Farage for at fejre, at det er weekend. Capital Account fra Russia Today den 9. maj 2012. Lauren Lyster interviewer:
Nigel Farage on the “EU Titanic” and the “Rebirth of National Socialism in Europe”
Welcome to Capital Account. It’s Europe Day! And what a day it is, at a time when the political parties seeing gains in multiple countries are those who want less Europe, not more. In fact, some of them, like Golden Dawn want a rejection of all of Europe. We speak with Euroskeptic member of European parliament and leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party, Nigel Farage about his recent speech in Brussels, his non-wine tasting event and his prospects for the European Union’s future.
Nigel Farage has talked often about the lack of democracy, the rise of technocracy, and predicted a country like Greece was headed towards some kind of revolution. We also speak to him about his party’s recent results in local elections in the United Kingdom, where UKIP had its best showing ever. For years, since the early 1990s when Farage was a founding member of the UK Independence party, Farage has been a Euroskeptic, pushing for the UK to pull out of the EU. For years he was a lone voice in European Parliament calling the Eurozone project a disaster.
And sticking to Europe, is Greece the poster child for what happens when the price mechanism of democracy, which has been suppressed by technocracy finally unleashes itself? Will technocrats, eurocrats, central bankers and big money succeed in manipulating it? Are we seeing the rise of national socialism in Europe and has the the EU titanic really hit the iceberg, as Nigel Farage put it during his latest speech to european parliament. Will this force a stop to the madness of integration as he sees it, or will the continent of Europe sink deeper into the sea of discontent and social unrest?
Lauren asks Mr. Farage if he thinks this is an important turning point for a country like Greece and for the EU, or if he thinks eurocrats in brussels will find some way, working alongside their viceroys in deficit countries, to keep Greece under their thumb?

Nigel Paul Farage (born 3 April 1964, Farnborough), is a British politician and is the Leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP), a position he also held from September 2006 to November 2009. He is a Member of the European Parliament for South East England and co-chairs the Eurosceptic Europe of Freedom and Democracy group. Farage is a founding member of the UKIP, having left the Conservative Party in 1992 after they signed the Maastricht Treaty. Having unsuccessfully campaigned in European and Westminster parliamentary elections for UKIP since 1994, he gained a seat as an MEP for South East England in the 1999 European Parliament Election — the first year the regional list system was used — and was re-elected in 2004 and 2009. Farage describes himself as a libertarian and rejects the notion that he is a conservative.

Nigel Farage: There Are Going to Be Serious Banking Collapses
With escalating fears regarding the stability of the eurozone, today King World News interviewed former LBMA commodities broker and trader and current MEP Nigel Farage to get his take on the situation. Farage had some very interesting comments regarding the Italians moving large quantities of gold to Switzerland, but when KWN asked about the chaos in Europe, Farage stated, “Well, so far, from all of the European officials and from the new IMF branch office in Washington, we’ve had unanimity that there was no prospect, at any stage, of the euro being under threat.”

Farage – Yes, Germany & Switzerland Want Their Gold Back
With Europe desperately trying to stabilize the Greek crisis, today Nigel Farage told King World News that despite European leaders pretending everything is okay, there is total denial and the ceiling is falling in. He also said the Germans and Swiss want their gold back. But first, here is what Farage had to say about the ongoing crisis in Greece: “It was very odd, I mean we had Mr. Van Rompuy, President of the European Council and Mr. Barroso, the Commission President, in Parliament this morning and it was remarkable. Two speeches from the two big bosses, both saying everything is absolutely wonderful. We have no difficulties at all and the recent Greek agreement has all gone off very smoothly. There is absolutely nothing to worry about.”
