Last night in Dearborn, Michigan, while the Islamic supremacists raged and fulminated, we held our Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference on Honor Killing. We told the whole truth about the justifications for honor killing in Islamic law, and other related instances of aspects of Islamic law advancing in the U.S. We stood determined to defend the principles of the equality of dignity of all people, and their rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

It was a superb evening, thanks in large part to your support. The Islamic supremacist/Leftist smear and hate machine was out in force, holding a rally of their own earlier in the day and then attempting to storm our event and get in despite the fact that they had not registered. We had advertised for weeks that no one would be admitted without registering first. With their usual mendacity they have tried to spin this as our not allowing Muslims into the conference, but if no Muslims really got in, that was solely because no Muslims registered — if indeed there were indeed no Muslims inside. In any case, while these disturbances were roiling outside the door, our crack security detail, made possible by your kind and generous donations in response to our appeal Saturday, ensured that only those who registered got in, and that thuggish Leftist and Islamic supremacist brownshirts were unable to harm the speakers or attendees.

Pamela Geller tells of dueling conferences on either side of Shariah

by Pamela Geller – May 2, 2012

We held our AFDI/SIOA Jessica Mokdad Human Rights conference last Sunday in Dearborn, the first honor-killing conference of its kind. Hundreds converged upon the Hyatt to join Robert Spencer and me and a full roster of luminaries to educate, elucidate and shine a light on the ugly and brutal atrocities under the Shariah. As expected, the goons, thugs and Muslim supremacists were also out in force. It seems that Islamic supremacists support murder for “honor,” for these subversive groups energetically opposed our conference dedicated to exposing the plight of women under Islamic law on the first anniversary of the honor murder of a Muslim girl in Michigan, Jessica Mokdad.

When we first called the conference, which we did to increase awareness of honor killings and gendercide under the Shariah, the only attention the media paid to it at all was to give a platform to the Mokdad family, which was whining that Jessica’s name was being used. Such grief – so touching the way so many Muslims go into “protect Islam” mode and not “protect our girls.”

Part 1 – Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch.

The speakers were introduced by Temple University student, Alvaro Watson. Robert Spencer was the first speaker; listened to by most, although there was the to-be-expect disruption by a few (this happens in a couple of moments during Spencer’s opening remarks) and handled by the speaker (security seemed to just stand by and watch). He was followed by Pamela Geller

David Horowitz Foundation and The Students For Intellectual Freedom hosted this conference at Temple University on the evening of April 23, 2012. Simon Deng was enslaved at the age of 9 by Muslims in the Sudan; a horrible practice that continues throughout the Muslim world today. This was a powerful presentation….

Q and A ( Part 1) on “Islamic Apartheid” at Temple University

Part 1 of the Q and A. One heckler remained in the crowd ( ignored by security) and then many of the ‘questions’ were instead statements of propaganda. All handled superbly by the speakers. Q and A ( Part 2) on “Islamic Apartheid” at Temple University

Part 2- Q and A continues with a concerned young man asking Robert Spencer about what he has read in the Quran. He doesn’t like the violence in the Quran. The loud mouth heckler shouts out a few times, but the Q and A continues in spite of him. Part 2 is intense and quite interesting . Reminder, the audience mic was set too low so I tweaked the audio as best I could when questions were asked.

Part 3 ( end of the Q and A) The students get more argumentative. Their minds are closed but the speakers, Spencer, Geller, Darwish and Deng are politely confident as they continue to address The Islamic Apartheid ….a truth these students refused to listen to.

Islamic Apartheid Conference Sparks Protest

Dean of Students Stephanie Ives foreshadowed the inevitable contention in Kiva Auditorium at the Islamic Apartheid Conference, sponsored by Temple University Students for Intellectual Freedom, yesterday, April 23.

“I ask you all to keep the principles of free speech and civil discourse in mind tonight,” Ives urged the packed auditorium prior to the conference’s start.

Featuring controversial panelists Robert Spencer, director of the blog “Jihad Watch,” Pamela Geller, former-Muslim Nonie Darwish and Sudanese refugee Simon Deng, the conference addressed issues such as honor killing and Jihad in the Arab-world, and specifically focused on Islam’s contribution to said issues.

Save the Misunderstanders of Islam!

By Robert Spencer – April 16, 2012

Why don’t the leading Muslim groups in the United States care about Muslims?

It’s a serious question. Its urgency became clear yet again last week, when three more warriors of Allah got their just desserts: Tarek Mehanna, a young Muslim in Massachusetts, got seventeen and a half years in prison on Thursday for conspiring with jihadis to murder American soldiers in Iraq. The same day, Agron Hasbajrami, a Muslim who lives in Brooklyn, pled guilty to trying to aid terrorists and attempting to go to Pakistan to join them. And Jubair Ahmad, a twenty-four-year-old Muslim from Woodbridge, Virginia, was sentenced Friday to twelve years in prison for aiding Lashkar-e-Taiba, a jihad terrorist group in Pakistan. But these cases point up yet again an even larger problem: the denial and deception of Muslim spokesmen and organizations in the U.S.

Nowadays when fresh arrests, trials, guilty pleas and convictions of jihad terror plotters come down the pike, Muslim leaders and Islamic advocacy groups like the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) don’t even bother to issue condemnations. They don’t have to. After over ten years of constant propaganda from the mainstream media, government and law enforcement about how Islam is religion of peace and how anyone who commits violence in its name is misunderstanding and misusing its basic tenets, most Americans take for granted, if they hear about the likes of Tarek Mehanna, Jubair Ahmad and Agron Hasbajrami at all, that they are not true Muslims.

Pamela Geller tells of battle to present anti-Shariah message over protesters

Last week, Islamic Apartheid Week was announced at Temple University in Philadelphia. A singular brave student organization at Temple wanted to counter the blood libel and propaganda of Israeli Apartheid Week, which is so common and so awful on college campuses, with the reality of the Shariah and the oppression, subjugation and persecution of women and non-Muslims living under Islam.

No sooner was it announced than the Islamic smear machine went into high gear. Numerous articles appeared in the Philadelphia City Paper, Naked City and elsewhere, smearing and defaming the speakers (Robert Spencer, Nonie Darwish, Simon Deng and me), but most egregiously me. Hamas-CAIR sent out a string of email alerts in support of the Occupy Muslim student groups’ protests.

by Mark Durie – March 9, 2012

In the recent destruction of Commonwealth war graves in Benghazi, Libya (YouTube Video), you can see not just the desecration of graves, but attacks on crosses.

The radical Muslims who are kicking over and smashing headstones marked with crosses (and one with a Star of David), also took pains to demolish a tall “Cross of Sacrifice” standing at the edge of the cemetery.

This was no “furious mob” on a “rampage,” as a Daily Mail report put it. Nor was there any evidence in what they were saying that they were angry or reacting to Koran burning by the US military.

Conflicting accounts over Afghan Quran burnings

By Patrick Quinn – March 3, 2012

Swastika Koran

An investigation into the burning of Muslim holy books at a U.S. military base has found it was a mistake involving at least five Americans who may face a disciplinary review, a Western official said Saturday, but Afghan investigators claimed it was an intentional desecration.

The conflicting accounts highlight rising tensions between the two countries despite apologies by President Barack Obama and other U.S. officials following the Feb. 20 discovery of charred Qurans and other religious literature in a burn pit at Bagram air base, north of Kabul.

Anger over the burnings already has led the deaths of more than 30 Afghans during violent protests as well as six U.S. soldiers who were shot and killed by ROGUE Afghan security forces.

Islamic rages aimed at enslaving the West

By Diana West – March 2, 2012

Six U.S. military men have been murdered by Afghan security forces seized by what may be labeled Quran-Burning Rage.

These murders are an outrage in and of themselves, but it’s crucial we don’t see them as isolated. They fit into a pattern that above all spreads “dhimmitude,” the submissive state of Christians and Jews (known under Islam as the “dhimmi”) in thrall to Islamic law.

Quran-Burning Rage follows Pastor Jones Rage, which, after a Florida pastor burned a Quran in 2011, seized Afghan Muslims and inspired rioting. Some rioters overran a United Nations outpost and murdered seven U.N. personnel.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali om muslimsk forfølgelse af kristne

Skarp artikel:

The Global War on Christians in the Muslim World

Ayaan Hirsi Ali – Feb 6, 2012

From one end of the muslim world to the other, Christians are being murdered for their faith.

Logo The Daily BeastWe hear so often about Muslims as victims of abuse in the West and combatants in the Arab Spring’s fight against tyranny. But, in fact, a wholly different kind of war is underway—an unrecognized battle costing thousands of lives. Christians are being killed in the Islamic world because of their religion. It is a rising genocide that ought to provoke global alarm.

The portrayal of Muslims as victims or heroes is at best partially accurate. In recent years the violent oppression of Christian minorities has become the norm in Muslim-majority nations stretching from West Africa and the Middle East to South Asia and Oceania. In some countries it is governments and their agents that have burned churches and imprisoned parishioners. In others, rebel groups and vigilantes have taken matters into their own hands, murdering Christians and driving them from regions where their roots go back centuries.

In the cover story she penned for the current issue of Newsweek, entitled “The War on Christians,” which is excerpted in The Daily Beast, Hirsi Ali gives a tour d’horizon of the most politically incorrect subject of all human-rights reporting: the ongoing religious persecution of Christians in the Muslim world. It makes heartbreaking reading.

She criticizes the media for giving short shrift to this development, favoring instead the narrative that Muslims are the victims of religious persecution by the West. She writes:

In Memoriam, my courageous brother Christopher, 1949-2011

How odd it is to hear of your own brother’s death on an early morning radio bulletin. How odd it is for a private loss to be a public event.

I wouldn’t normally dream of writing about such a thing here, and I doubt if many people would expect me to. It is made even odder by the fact that I am a minor celebrity myself. And that the, ah, complex relationship between me and my brother has been public property.

I have this morning turned down three invitations to talk on the radio about my brother. I had a powerful feeling that it would be wrong to do so, not immediately explicable but strong enough to persuade me to say a polite ‘no thank you’.

by Christopher Hitchens – Spring 2009

Arthur Koestler opened his polemic against capital punishment in Britain by saying that the island nation was that quaint and antique place where citizens drove on the left hand side of the road, drank warm beer, made a special eccentricity of the love of animals, and had felons “hanged by the neck until they are dead.” Those closing words—from the formula by which a capital sentence was ritually announced by a heavily bewigged judge—conveyed in their satisfyingly terminal tones much of the flavor and relish of the business of judicially inflicted death.

Sudan in Crisis

By Aymenn Jawad Al-Tamimi on November 1, 2011

South Sudan is now independent, but its northern neighbor continues to press in an Islamist direction.

Three months after the birth of South Sudan, how is the northern neighbor of the world’s newest nation faring?

The country, witnessing minor demonstrations, generally managed to escape the large-scale protests that have swept across the Middle East and North Africa since last winter, but as the Financial Times reports, Sudan’s economy has been hit severely by the secession of the south, which was by far Khartoum’s largest source of oil revenues.

Indeed, the oil boom in the early 2000s made Sudan one of the fastest growing economies in Africa. Yet owing to a 75 percent drop in oil revenues since July, the Sudanese pound — Khartoum’s currency — has dropped by up to 60 percent on the black market, while annual inflation reached 21 percent last month, with the price of meat now reaching $10 per kilogram. Of course, these developments could well re-ignite popular protests.

The Left’s Worst Crime in the Middle East

by Daniel Greenfield on Oct 27th, 2011

The left’s worst crime in the Middle East has been its support for the region’s Arab-Muslim majority at the expense of its minorities. It has supported the majority’s terrorism, atrocities, ethnic cleansing and repression of the region’s minorities. Very rarely has it raised a voice in their support, and even then only in muted tones completely different from their vigorous defense of the nationalism of the Arab Muslim majority.

The left is obsessed with the Arab Spring, which rewards the ambitions of Arabist and Islamist activists at the expense of Coptic, African and other minorities. It is dementedly fixated on statehood for the Arab Muslims of Israel, (better known by their local Palestinian brand), but has little to say about the Kurds in Turkey or the Azeri in Iran. The million Jewish refugees and the vanishing Christians of the region never come up in conversation. They certainly don’t get their own flotillas.

The Materialism of Environmentalism

Daniel Greenfield – October 30, 2011

Logo Canada Free Press

There is no understanding environmentalism without also understanding the function of religion as a means of infusing spirituality into the material. The politicization of consumerism is an attempt to mimic the religious dimension of life without a guiding deity.

Environmentalism provides the believer with the grandiosity of a human centered existence, in which the actions of individuals can lead to massive catastrophes, floods, extinctions and hurricanes. It’s the old biblical epic of Noah set in what pretends to be a rational scientific universe, but actually borrows the religious significance of human ethics placed at the center of life.

Teaching Your Child to be a Dictator’s Lackey

Imagine your child’s school teaching him how wonderful dictatorships are by having him and his friends model their very own group of dictatorships as part of their education. Like so many other Orwellian nightmares in the American educational system, this one is very real and takes place through the Model UN program.

The Model UN program teaches American students that global government is better than national government and that the corrupt kleptocracy on Turtle Bay is the ideal state of mankind. Finally it trains them to put American presidents on trial for violating United Nations laws.

Bombing Iran a ‘Bad Idea’? Probably. But It’s the ONLY Idea

October 24, 2011 – by David P. Goldman

Dalia Dassa Kaye at the Foreign Policy website argues that bombing Iran is a “bad idea.” She’s absolutely right. It’s a bad idea, except all the others are worse. As Prof. Kaye observes,

The aftermath of an attack could be devastating militarily and politically. It could unleash a wave of Iranian retaliation against U.S. forces, allies, and interests. Iran maintains a wide array of levers across the region, including militia groups it has trained and funded, that it could employ to retaliate against U.S. forces or diplomatic personnel, particularly in countries like Iraq. Iranian missiles have ranges that can reach Israel and all its Gulf Arab neighbors, including those hosting U.S. military forces.

Ryan Mauro – October 25, 2011

The U.S., Saudi Arabia and the international community are debating how to respond to Iran’s planned assassination of the Saudi ambassador in Washington D.C., but there is another party that shares responsibility: Wikileaks, the anti-censorship organization that recklessly published confidential diplomatic cables that prompted Iran to target the ambassador.

Last November, Wikileaks published a series of documents exposing private communications between international government officials. One of the most explosive documents was a State Department cable dated April, 20, 2008. It quoted the Saudi ambassador to the U.S., Adel al-Jubeir, as secretly telling General David Petraeus, “He [the Saudi king] told you to cut off the head of the snake,” referring to the Iranian regime.

Why the crazy Iranian plot to pay Mexicans to kill the Saudi ambassador isn’t so implausible.

By Christopher Hitchens | Oct. 24, 2011

There may conceivably be a reason to doubt the truth of the Obama administration’s claim that the “Quds Force” of the Islamic Republic of Iran went into the free market for murder in order to suborn the killing of the Saudi ambassador to the United States. But neither the apparently surreal nor the apparently flagrant nature of the thing would constitute such reasons. We have been here before, as a splendid recent book reminds us, and have learned that no allegation made against the goon squads in Tehran can be thought of as prima-facie implausible.

A Pattern of Appeasement and Retreat

October 24, 2011 – by Michael Ledeen

Take two headlines, one about Iraq, the other about Afghanistan.  The Iraqis told us to honor our signed agreement, and pull out all our troops by year’s end.  Over in Kabul, Karzai said he’d go to war against us if we attacked his neighbor, Pakistan.  It’s the same story in both places, but the real headline is the thirty-year-old one:  U.S. fails to come up with an Iran strategy.

It’s pretty obvious, isn’t it?  You’re a Middle Eastern leader, and you’ve been working and fighting alongside the Americans.  The United States was magnificent on the battlefield, and you either won (as in Iraq) or were winning (Afghanistan) when the Americans announced they were leaving.  And they even set a date for their departure.  Where does that leave you?

Regime blames assassination plot on its enemies

By Reza Kahlili – October 21, 2011

Iran panicked after the United States accused it of hatching a plot to kill the Saudi ambassador in Washington, immediately denying the allegations, which included plans to bomb the Saudi and Israeli embassies and labeling the plot’s organizer an enemy of the state.

We should have seen it coming.

Iranian officials warned Saudi officials months ago of repercussions because of the Saudi monarchy’s intervention in Bahrain and Yemen, where Iran is pushing for the overthrow of U.S.-friendly governments to establish Shiite rule. Some Revolutionary Guard commanders and parliament deputies even called for a military response to the Saudis’ action in the region.

Explaining Iran’s Approach Towards the Middle East

by Aymenn Jawad Al-Tamimi – October 25, 2011

What drives Iran’s ambition to become the dominant power in the Middle East at the expense of the Sunni Arab Gulf states like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)? Is it solely an issue of Iran’s Shi’ite Islamist ideology?

To begin with, it is worth recalling that many of the Iranian regime’s assertive and expansionist policies today predate Khomeini’s revolution and rise to power in 1979. For example, Iran’s claim to Bahrain goes back to the secular Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi’s resolution in November 1957, declaring the island to be Iran’s fourteenth province. Eventually, the Shah let go of Bahrain for the time being, much to the chagrin of Iranian nationalists.

Iranian regime plays chess, we play checkers

October 19, 2011 | By Kenneth Timmerman

We are so unprepared to defeat Iran’s clerical rulers and their Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution (IRGC) hand-maidens. Every time we think we’ve caught them red-handed, as with the latest terror plot in Washington, D.C., they invent a new way to wriggle out of it.

Their latest gambit, which I’ve been expecting from the get-go, is to offer up the IRGC intermediary in the plot, claiming he was an infiltrator from the MEK, the Marxist Islamist group that was once part of the Khomeinist regime, but had a falling out with them over power-sharing 30 years ago.

Iran’s Global Strategic Goal is Rationally MAD

Walid Phares – October 19th 2011

My first book, The Iranian Islamic Revolution, published way back in 1986, dealt with the historicity of the 1979 Khomeinist Revolution in Iran. In it, I exposed the Khomeinist regime’s long-term ambitions and revisionist account of events that led to the Shah’s overthrow and Ayatollah Khomeini’s ascent to power in the alleged Islamic “Republic” of Iran. From my observatory in Beirut where Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRG) were growing into a force to be reckoned with in the region and beyond, I absorbed and digested the thinking and logic of Tehran’s strategists. Boiled down, that strategy involved sending as many mixed signals in as many directions as possible so as to confuse opposing forces and make them tentative. This would allow the Khomeinists to pursue their global ambitions with minimal opposition.

Muslim Persecution of Christians: September, 2011

An especially busy month in the persecution of Christians in the Muslim world, September also witnessed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton release the Annual Report on International Religious Freedom. Ironically, aside from Iran and Sudan, none of the countries that habitually appears in this series was designated among the “countries of particular concern,” defined by the State Department as countries that are “engaged in or tolerated particularly severe violations of religious freedom.”

Egypt, for instance—which this year alone has seen over fifty Christians killed, their many churches burned or bombed, and their daughters kidnapped and forcibly converted—was not listed as a “country of particular concern,” despite the fact that the U.S. Commission for International Religious Freedom, an independent, bipartisan federal government commission, has recommended that the State Department designate it so.

The warden Khadeeja allegedly tortured her after claiming he found ‘prohibited items’ in her cell. Other prison staff watched and did nothing to stop the attack. It is unclear what either Western governments or Western churches think they are achieving by turning a blind eye to the persecution of Christians in the Muslim world.

On Sunday night, Egyptian Copts staged what was supposed to be a peaceful vigil at Egypt’s state television headquarters in Cairo. The 1,000 Christians represented the ancient Christian community of some 8 million whose presence in Egypt predates the establishment of Islam by several centuries. They gathered in Cairo to protest the recent burning of two churches by Islamic mobs and the rapid escalation of state-supported violent attacks on Christians by Muslim groups since the overthrow of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak in February.

Facebook, Google, Apple Censoring Religious Speech?

The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) group sounded the alarm Thursday about new media outlets such as Facebook, Google and Apple, which they say have written policies that violate the fundamental rules of free expression, particularly concerning religious free speech.

The NRB released a report at the National Press Club Thursday analyzing the various content policies of social networking websites. What they found was disturbing: new media platforms Facebook, Apple, Comcast, AT&T and Google have adopted policies to censor lawful viewpoints expressing Christian views or controversial ideas on “hot button issues.” Some platforms, such as Apple’s iTunes App Store and Google’s search engine, have already started to use those policies to remove orthodox Christian viewpoints considered “offensive” or too controversial.

The Battle That Saved the Christian West

by Mariano Navarro on Oct 11th, 2011

What some call “the battle that saved the Christian West” took place 440 years ago October 7th. It is a historical event of such importance — and of such relevance to the struggles of today — that I would be remiss not to mention it. Sadly, a cursory look on-line indicates that few people — save military historians, some traditionalist Catholics and a few rarae aves — seem to know much about it.

At about 11:00 a.m. October 7th in 1571, 300 Ottoman ships from Turkey clashed with a scraggly alliance of European naval armies in the tranquil waters between the Albanian coast and the Peloponnesus. Under the command of the 25-year-old Don Juan of Austria, the illegitimate son of Charles V and half-brother of Philip II of Spain, some 212 Christian ships from Genoa, Venice and Spain — as well from the Papal States and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta — had formed the “Holy League” to stop the advance of the Ottoman Armada.
