Lord Carlile’s latest intervention comes at an important time. The European Court of Human Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights are desperately endangering this country. Both the court and the convention continue to have an apparently final say on anything to do with our security and it is high time the UK government addressed this.

At the heart of Lord Carlile’s case is the indisputable fact that the rights of terrorists and suspected terrorists have now overtaken those of the general public. Because even the risk of an affront to their ‘human rights’ must be considered foremost, it has become effectively impossible to deport any terrorist anywhere, making Britain a kind of permanent active al-Qaeda retirement base.

The control orders fiasco shows that our political class still isn’t serious about security

For a jihadi, Britain is one of the very best places in the world. In Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen, overhead drones kill terrorists on a regular basis. In most democratic countries, politicians try to limit their enemies’ ability to operate — so one runs the risk of being thrown into prison, if caught mid-jihad. But not in Britain. Here, the Islamist insurgents have found that there are a hundred ways to run rings around our police and justice system. Nothing demonstrates this more spectacularly than the control orders farce.

Control orders are an inelegant system for putting restrictions on terror suspects, either because the evidence which could convict them is too sensitive to be used in a criminal court, or because European human rights laws prevent them from being deported. Eight people are being detained under control orders, with the suspects under curfew, electronic tagging, a travel ban or other restrictions. The system is understandably popular, but it seems certain that David Cameron will allow his Lib Dem colleagues to claim victory by altering the name and tinkering with the terms.

London og Glasgow: to af de terrormistænkte er læger

To af de anholdte efter de mislykkede terrorforsøg i Storbritannien er læger. Det britiske politi undersøger i øjeblikket om de er kommet til landet for at studere medicin eller for at arbejde som læger,

Det skriver TV2. I alt er syv personer anholdt – en kvinde og seks mænd. Kvinden er gift med den ene af lægerne, som skulle være en jordaner – født i Saudi Arabien. Dog skriver Berlingske Tidende, at manden er af palæstinensisk afstamning. Han menes at være neurolog på et hospital i det centrale England og  at være lederen af denne Al Qaede-gruppe. Parret blev anholdt under en dramatisk biljagt på en motorvej. Kvinden var iført islamistisk mundering.

CNN fortæller, at den anden læge er en af de mænd, der kørte en firehjulstrækker ind i lufthavnsbygningen i Glasgow og som havde overhældt sit tøj med benzin. Han blev indlagt med svære forbrændinger på 90 pct. af kroppen på et hospital. Metro.co.uk skriver, at man har udført en kontrolleret sprængning af en mistænkelig pakke fundet på manden, da han blev indlagt. Han er iraker og ligeledes neurolog, skriver This is London. Han arbejder på et hospital i Skotland. Helt grotesk er det netop dette hospital, jordaneren er indlagt på.

Så kan man jo gætte på, at det var derfor, politiet valgte at foretage ikke mindre end to kontrollerede sprængninger af biler, som stod foran et hospital i Glasgow. Det skete med mindre end 24 timers mellemrum. Bilerne har vel tilhørt terroristerne?

Det minder en hel del om nazis-tidens læger. De brugte også deres tekniske viden til at dræbe undermennesker. Jeg gad nok lide at vide, hvad de har gjort ved deres vantro patienter? De bør have et tilbud om ekstra undersøgelser, så man kan finde ud af, om lægerne har forsøgt at skade dem.

Jeg vil fra nu af aldrig lade mig behandle af en muslimsk læge eller sygeplejerske. Det ligger simpelthen i islams menneskesyn, at vantro er fjender. Tolerance og ligeværdighed er umuslimsk. Lægegerningen er øjensynligt ikke foreneligt med det at være muslim? Ikke i Vesten ser det ud til. Ikke hos os.

Jeg begynder at tro, at parallelsamfund er vejen frem. Integration kan ikke lade sig gøre. Man kan have hjemsendelsesordninger, assimilation eller parallelsamfund. Eventuelt i kombination. Men integrations-ambitionen kan vi ikke lykkes med. Det står efterhånden klart for flere og flere.

Man bliver jo helt syg af lede…
