Retssagerne imod Lars Hedegaard og Jesper Langballe forårsager meget stor skade på Danmarks omdømme i udlandet. The Danish witch-hunt against the truth-tellers
By Melanie Phillips – 11th January 2011
Over the past week or so, Britain’s media have finally been forced to confront the fact that Muslim pimping gangs in the UK have been abducting, drugging, raping and abusing mainly white girls, along with Hindus and Sikhs, and further ‘grooming’ them for sex in a clear display of hostility towards ‘unbelievers’. Hitherto this phenomenon was not only kept from the public by a paralysed media class which refuses to confront Islamic outrages, but it appears that the police have often dragged their feet in pursuing such gangs as a result of the same politically correct paralysis. I wrote about this in the Mail yesterday.
In Denmark, however, a campaigner for freedom of speech is actually to go on trial later this month for daring to bring this kind of thing to light. Lars Hedegaard is President of the Danish Free Press Society and The International Free Press Society. A while back the DFPS kindly presented me with an award for my work. When I met Hedegaard I observed that, in campaigning against hate speech laws which censored and suppressed necessary discussion of the Islamic threat to free speech and other human rights in the west, he was himself running the risk of being silenced by Denmark’s thought police.

The Death of Free Speech in Europe: On Trial in Denmark for “Islamophobia”
by Phyllis Chesler - January 10 2011
On January 24, 2011, the distinguished Lars Hedegaard, the President of the Danish Free Press Society and the International Free Press Society, will stand trial for telling the truth about Islamic gender apartheid.
Europe, once the birthplace of freedom, is fast becoming its graveyard.
True, the Church tortured and burned many geniuses as heretics; Dutch Jews excommunicated Spinoza; wars for religious supremacy raged for hundreds of years. Still, concepts such as free speech and individual human rights over and above the divine rights of Kings gradually ruled the European zeitgeist. Americans and other former colonists romanticized Europe as “the” place for artists, free thinkers, and free spirits.

Punishing the Victims of Islamic Gender Apartheid?
by Phyllis Chesler – Jan 13th, 2011
She is marked for certain death.
Her final hearing takes place on Friday, January 14, 2011. If American Immigration decides to deport her back to her Muslim family in Africa, she will, without doubt, first be genitally mutilated and then honor murdered for insisting on remaining a Christian, for having fled an arranged Muslim marriage—and for having secretly married a Christian man.
I doubt she will be able to take her case to the United Nations. After all, that august body has condemned free speech/truth speech as hate speech, especially where Islam is concerned. Incredibly, presumably “progressive” European countries have increasingly launched criminal investigations against their own politicians, human rights activists, academics for daring to tell the truth about Islamic gender apartheid if that truth shows Islam in a negative light.

I refuse to say ‘not all Muslims.’ Who’s with me?
by Kathy Shaidle – January 11 2011
[...] So why do we insist upon using that unwieldy formula, “not all Muslims…”?
Everyone who goes to the trouble of uttering the painfully obvious and obligatory “not all Muslims” line gets persecuted and prosecuted anyway — in Mark Steyn’s case, for the very article in which he used the words, “not all Muslims;” in fact, the Muslims who took him to court specifically objected to Steyn’s “sarcastic tone” while employing it. You see, he was being insufficiently respectful when excusing them from their own crime-in-progress.
As you can see from that last tortured sentence, writing about the battle against stealth jihad is difficult enough without handicapping ourselves, a la “Harrison Bergeron”, to appease unappeasable enemies.

Will Conservative Media Elites Defend Lars Hedegaard?
It is long past time for our media figures to pay attention to the “hate speech” prosecutions of our brethren in Denmark.
January 10, 2011 – by Andrew G. Bostom
This past Friday I received a plaintive appeal on behalf of my colleague, Danish journalist and historian Lars Hedegaard — President of the Danish Free Press Society and The International Free Press Society (IFPS). My response to the appeal is included at the end of this essay as a succinct guide to Islamically perplexed, high-profile U.S. conservative media elites who, until now, have entirely ignored the burgeoning crisis epitomized by Lars Hedegaard’s current plight. It is well past time for these self-anointed champions of free speech to weigh-in publicly and offer a robust defense of my colleague –and theirs.

The latest terrorist tactic: litigation
by Daniel Huff – January 11, 2011
On December 29, Scandinavian authorities arrested five terrorists planning an attack in Denmark. Almost as interesting as what they targeted is what they spared and the lessons it holds for future counterterrorism efforts.
The plot was to storm the Copenhagen newsroom of Jyllands Posten and murder its staff. It was the fourth attempt this year by Islamic extremists to punish the newspaper that published the Mohammed cartoons. But the terrorists are guilty of selective prosecution. They have yet to strike Politiken, which also published the cartoons, even though its offices are literally next door.

The New Totalitarians
David Solway – Dec 28th, 20
The so-called “socialist revolution,” which the collapse of the Soviet Union and the implosion of the European welfare state should have soundly discredited by this time, is still running its course. This is the case not only in Latin America, where it seems to be embedded in the national psyche, but, despite recent electoral setbacks, in the United States as well. So counter-intuitive a phenomenon is partially explained by the lust for power among political strongmen and numinous redeemers who understand that socialism enables them to consolidate the power they crave in their own hands. But it also requires the backing of intellectuals and academics who naively believe that socialism opens the way to a juster and more equable society. History teaches that such a chimera is catastrophic in the application. It is generally embraced as an ideal by an intellectual class isolated from the lives of ordinary people and therefore immune or indifferent to reality.

I Confess, Too.
Ann Snyder – December 22, 2010
I must confess. Rhetorically, that is. I don’t want to give European prosecutors any ideas should I travel abroad!
Perhaps you should confess, too. If you have ever publicly expressed an opinion that somebody, somewhere, might deem offensive, chances are you may have violated any one or number of the “hate speech” laws that have proliferated throughout Europe.
The language of some of these laws is sweeping. These perhaps once, well-intentioned efforts to prevent discrimination now no longer merely threaten to eviscerate free speech rights; they are eviscerating them. Europeans must speak up now, while they still can and remove these insidious laws from the books once and for all.

Though Europe Rots, We Must Defend the West
With free speech under attack, our civilization’s survival is at stake.
January 18, 2011 – by Alyssa A. Lappen
Defending Lars Hedegaard’s right to free speech equals defending the right of Western civilization to survive. As editor, columnist, and Danish and International Free Press Society president, Hedegaard dares to exercise his right to criticize Islam as freely as one may Christianity or Judaism. [1]
Barring an effective international outcry — or a rare fever of Sudden Enlightenment Syndrome striking common sense into the head of Denmark’s public prosecutor — Hedegaard will face trial on Danish racism charges and conviction alike on January 24, 2011: a veritable auto da fé. [2]

”De kan ikke vinde over os, men vi kan tabe til dem”
(København) Af Helle Merete Brix, for HRS
Broder skrev i mange år for Der Spiegel.

Kronik: Budbringeren for retten
Katrine Winkel Holm: Den 24. januar skal Lars Hedegaard møde i Frederiksberg Ret. Anklaget for hate-speech.

A Muslim asks that Denmark reprieve herself from being cast in the verdict of history as an “executioner” of free speech
by Salim Mansur, PhD January 13, 2011
I am writing this letter in support of Mr. Lars Hedegaard, the President of the Danish Free Press Society and the International Free Press Society, and to add my voice to the many who stand together with him in defending free speech.
We are appalled that the Danish public prosecutor is proceeding with the indictment of Mr. Lars Hedegaard for “hate speech” against Muslims in Denmark. I am a Muslim, a citizen of and a resident in Canada. But as a concerned Muslim I am more deeply troubled by the Danish public prosecutor out to undermine the principle of free speech, and weaken liberal democracy as a result, than anything Mr. Lars Hedegaard has said in public or published about Islam and Muslims.
