Geert Wilders filed a complaint, according to the police. On Friday a speaker [for Sharia4Holland] on the Dam in Amsterdam called Wilders “this dog of the Romans” with whom “we will deal with” once The Netherlands has become a Muslim state. Also he advised to take warning “from the case Theo van Gogh”.
Sharia4Holland wants to implement sharia law in The Netherlands.
Police in Amsterdam-Amstelland and the public prosecutor started on Saturday their investigation of statements made by members of Shariah4Holland.
Earlier, on Sunday, VVD faction leader in Amsterdam Robert Flos critiqued the police for their performance [rather the lack of] during that speech at the National Monument. On AT5 TV station he said it was strange that the police did not act when speakers made death threats towards Wilders, which according to Flos [and the law] is a criminal offense.
The police did arrest a bystander, who tried to act. They rough-handed him while taking him away. Flos said he was shocked that “next to our monument such a message of un-freedom is preached”. According to AT5, Flos will ask questions of Mayor Eberhard van der Laan.

A Belgian journalist who interviewed me recently about the European debt crisis asked me whether I believed in the European Project. I replied that I would answer her question—if she would tell me what the European Project actually was. By revealing my doubts, I proved to her that I suffered from the strange kind of mental debility known as Euroskepticism, a condition supposedly compounded of low intelligence and aggressive xenophobia. The low intelligence manifests itself in the patient’s view of European institutions as a gravy train for a transnational nomenklatura, rather than as the beginning of a new, generous, and free-spirited type of postnational identity. The xenophobia manifests itself as a secret desire for conflict and war, the European Union and its predecessors supposedly having been responsible for the avoidance of war on the Continent over the last 65 years.
Last Friday’s downgrading of France and Austria by credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s has left the eurozone, the group of 17 European countries using the euro as their currency, with just four countries with a triple A rating. Of these four Germany is the only one that was not given a negative outlook. Indeed, S&P thinks that the Netherlands, Finland and Luxemburg risk a further downgrade this year or next year.
S&P’s latest downgrades may split the longstanding “Merkozy” alliance.

Who will suffer most from Standard and Poor’s European sovereign-debt downgrades of January 13? Not France, though it lost its triple-A rating. Not Italy, whose rating dropped to BBB+, out of respectable A status. Rather, it will be Germany. The continent’s powerhouse guarded its sterling rating, but Chancellor Angela Merkel will find it lonely at the top.
A mob of some 20 Islamists stormed a debate in Amsterdam that was featuring two Muslim liberals, the Canadian writer and Muslim feminist Irshad Manji and the Dutch-Moroccan Green Left MP Tofik Dibi.
Muslim extremists belonging to the group Sharia4Belgium, which seeks to establish Islamic Sharia law across Europe, yelled “Allahu Akbar” (“Allah is Greater”) and threatened to break Manji’s neck. Waving an Islamist jihadist flag, they then demanded that Manji and Dibi be executed for apostasy.
The December 8 debate on how liberal Muslims can prevent Islam from being hijacked by Muslim extremists was held at the De Baile venue in downtown Amsterdam, and was sponsored by the Brussels-based European Foundation for Democracy. The event resumed after police arrested several of the Islamists.

The events took place only two days after Dutch-Moroccan Muslim youth threw stones at a Santa Claus in the Slotervaart section of Amsterdam. In recent years, the festivities surrounding the arrival of “Sint” to the Netherlands have been cancelled in several cities as a result of threats and violence perpetrated by radicalized Muslim youth in the Netherlands.

Even as the euro zone hurtles towards a crash, most people are assuming that, in the end, European leaders will do whatever it takes to save the single currency. That is because the consequences of the euro’s destruction are so catastrophic that no sensible policymaker could stand by and let it happen.
A euro break-up would cause a global bust worse even than the one in 2008-09. The world’s most financially integrated region would be ripped apart by defaults, bank failures and the imposition of capital controls (see article). The euro zone could shatter into different pieces, or a large block in the north and a fragmented south. Amid the recriminations and broken treaties after the failure of the European Union’s biggest economic project, wild currency swings between those in the core and those in the periphery would almost certainly bring the single market to a shuddering halt. The survival of the EU itself would be in doubt.
Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, is reputed to be a sensible, level-headed lady. So when she claimed in the eurozone bail-out negotiations that their failure could threaten continued peace between Europe’s nations, the media latched on to her words. Could it really be true that, 66 years after a world war that had been calamitous for her country and its people, the leader of Germany was warning of a similar horror? Would that be the price to be paid by Europe’s citizens if their single currency area were to disintegrate?
A fair comment is that Merkel’s remarks caused bemusement to many not directly involved in the negotiations and able to maintain a degree of objectivity. The United Nations has 193 members, while the European Union has 27 and the eurozone 17. One hundred and seventy-six countries do not have the euro as their currency and 166 do not even belong to the EU.
How could so many clever people get it so wrong? The flaws in the euro project are not just clear with hindsight; they were visible at the outset and were widely pointed out. It was never going to be possible to jam widely divergent economies into a single monetary policy. It was plainly reckless to invite Italy and Greece to join the new currency when their government debt was at twice the permitted level of 60 per cent of GDP. Plenty of doubters said so at the time. Yet, in every national parliament, in every central bank, in every university faculty, in every television editorial conference, there was a collective suspension of disbelief.
Why? What were they thinking? If you listen carefully to what Euro-integrationists were saying when the single currency was launched, you hear a subtext. It’s not so much that they liked the euro, it’s that they disliked the people who opposed it. Listen, for example to Charles Kennedy in 2002:

In real terms, the number of Muslims in Brussels — where half of the number of Muslims in Belgium currently live — has reached 300,000, which means that the self-styled “Capital of Europe” is now the most Islamic city in Europe.
In practical terms, Islam mobilizes more people in Brussels than do the Roman Catholic Church, political parties or even trade unions, according to “The Iris and the Crescent,” a book that is the product of more than one year of field research and was released to the public on November 18.

Eurocrats ignited outrage last night by ordering Britain to open its doors to a fresh wave of mass immigration from around the world.
In a highly provocative diktat from Brussels the European Commission urged the EU’s 27 member nations to admit millions more newcomers from beyond Europe’s borders and adopt welcoming “migrant-centred” policies.
“To ensure prosperity, Europe must become a more attractive destination in the global competition for talent,” said a document from the EU’s ruling body.
It also made clear that new measures to “facilitate and organise legal immigration” to EU nations from eastern Europe, Asia and a string of North African countries were already on the way.
The astonishing open-door border policy, outlined in a “renewed EU migration strategy” published by the Commission, triggered a furious backlash in Britain yesterday.

I spent much of this weekend, as I often do this time of year, confining myself to writing and thinking about Rudyard Kipling. This may seem like a pretentious thing to be saying, but if you care about war and peace and justice and life and death, then he is an inescapable subject. The same is true if you care about modern English literature, which for no less inescapable reasons is intimately bound up with the great catastrophe of mortality that overcame British families between August 1914 and November 1918.
There had probably never been such a race for a society to get itself involved in the battle for a perceived moral superiority. Great swaths of young men saw their honor, and huge groups of young girls their virtue, involved in the defense of Belgium against the rape of German imperialism. As a result, a huge and successful post-Victorian people found itself nearly decimated, with a special emphasis on the slaughter of its youth of child-bearing age. And Kipling himself, the man who brought us The Jungle Book and many a school yarn, was desolate because he did not have a real son to lend, or to give, to the fight.

In a memorable speech last year at the European Parliament, UKIP’s Nigel Farage lambasted newly appointed (not elected of course) European Council President Herman Van Rompuy saying he had “the charisma of a damp rag and the appearance of a low grade bank clerk.”
There can be little dispute about it. But a few moments later Farage went on to talk about Van Rompuy’s intention to become “the quiet assassin of European democracy.” On that one, he couldn’t have been more wrong. The man’s shouting it from the roof tops.

Det siger en talsmand fra Københavns Politi i følge EkstraBladet. Det, der er mærkeligt er, at politiet fjernede disse repræsentanter fra det danske mutaween, der vogtede dyd ved Aldi og SuperBrugsen. Hvis man ikke vil have, at islamister opfører sig som islamister, hvad helgoland skulle de så importeres for? Nå, men disse wahabister har mere af samme slags i kjoleærmet:
En lille gruppe ekstremister vil indføre sharia-zoner i Danmark, hvor man vil patruljere døgnet rundt.

Det skriver B.T., Jyllands-Posten og Berlingske Tidende. Det foregår altsammen i Tingbjerg i København. Snart får mutaween endda en jernring med zoner, betalingsmur og det hele. Det har den røde borgerrepræsentation sørget for at være dem behjælpelig med. Det kan jo holde en del vantro danskere ude af byen, ligesom en del vil vælge at fraflytte hovedstaden.
En talsmand for Muslimers Fællesråd siger:
Vi skal helt ned på folkeskoleniveau fokusere på, at det er vigtigt med demokratisk deltagelse
Det tror jeg så ikke lige på, at Muslimers Fællesråd gør. Der er så mange, der siger “vi skal”. Men de gør det ikke. Her er en til af slagsen:
Det er forkasteligt, at Det Islamiske Trossamfund på sin hjemmeside linker til en muslimsk datingside, der accepterer flerkoneri og opfordrer til social kontrol med unge muslimer.
Det mener Lars Aslan Rasmussen, socialordfører for Socialdemokraterne i Københavns Borgerrepræsentation.
Flerkoneri er da ellers ganske almindelig muslimsk praksis i indtil flere europæiske lande. Citatet stammer fra Jyllands-Posten, der videre skriver:

Kriminelle, småpædofile imamer har vi også her i landet, – det kom frem i februar i år i Berlingske Tidende. En 15-årig dansk pige er ren kuvøseguf for imamer, ikke? Man skal da have noget ungt kød. Indbyggerne i Danmark skal ikke tro, at vi alle er lige for loven. Muslimer har deres egen lov og sådan er det.
“En mand i 20′erne” giftede sig med en 15-årig i en moske på Vibevej 16. Han skulle angiveligt være “koran-lærer”. Altså det, vi andre kalder imam. Søren Pind synes, den slags imamer skal udvises, skriver ovennævnte avis. Og fra en anden artikel samme sted:

A Muslim group in Denmark has launched a campaign to turn parts of Copenhagen and other Danish cities into “Sharia Law Zones” that would function as autonomous enclaves ruled by Islamic law.
The Danish Islamist group Kaldet til Islam (Call to Islam) says the Tingbjerg suburb of Copenhagen will be the first part of Denmark to be subject to Sharia law, followed by the Nørrebro district of the capital and then other parts of the country, the center-right Jyllands-Posten newspaper reported on October 17.

The mass immigration of Muslims into Western Europe over the last four decades or so was a project of elite mainstream politicians, most of them left-wing, who never consulted the electorate on whether they thought this project was a good idea or not. Motivated by a multicultural sensibility (and, in most cases, an invincible ignorance about Islam), these politicians felt compelled not to try to integrate these newcomers, but encouraged them, rather, to preserve their cultural values, however at odds they might be with Western ideas of freedom and equality. For many years there was little organized public resistance to the increasing Islamization of Europe. But then, around a decade ago, things reached a breaking point.
Muslims have been persecuting Christians ever since the time of Muhammed. But in the wake of the so-called “Arab Spring,” such activity seems to be on the rise throughout much of the Islamic world, now that Muslims in several countries are enjoying greater freedom to do things they felt more restrained from doing before. Christians are being beaten and murdered, churches attacked and destroyed.
If there is a positive side of this terrible development, it is this: if there’s more such persecution going on, more attention is finally being paid to it in the mainstream Western media. Yet even as some of the media are daring to report on these events, there remains a strong disinclination to suggest that this pattern of persecution has anything whatsoever to do with Islam.

Let alone that readers of Conservative Home would be expected to put up with this exchange. But Monday’s piece by Paul was the blog-equivalent of a drive-by shooting. This is tediously obsessive even for me – and I was the subject – so I can’t imagine how dull it must be for everybody else. But Paul’s had a last say – so I’ll do one more correction of him.

I don’t read the Belgian press often, but a recent headline in Le Soir caught my eye: Islamization of the young: fundamentalism sweeps them.
Actually, the headline turned out to be something of an exaggeration compared with what followed. The article reported on a recently defended doctoral thesis by a young researcher at the Free University of Brussels, Leila El Bachiri. She maintained that the radicalization of a small minority of the Muslim young of Brussels (the European city with the highest proportion of Muslims, 17 percent) was brought about not from the influence of their immigrant parents, or by the religious institutions in their country of origin (mainly Morocco), but by the preaching of members of the Muslim Brotherhood on the one hand, and of Wahhabi or Salafist missionaries on the other.

If you will take a gander at the September 26, 2011 issue of Newsweek, page 48, titled “Marry or else!” by Michelle Goldberg, you will see that the Balkanization of America steams full speed ahead of schedule. The quote by James Walsh below brings it home like gangbusters.
“Immigrants devoted to their own cultures and religions are not influenced by the secular politically correct façade that dominates academia, news-media, entertainment, education, religious and political thinking today,” said James Walsh, former Associate General Counsel of the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service. “They claim the right not to assimilate, and the day is coming when the question will be how can the United States regulate the defiantly unassimilated cultures, religions and mores of foreign lands? Such immigrants say their traditions trump the U.S. legal system. Balkanization of the United States has begun.”

No one who has read the French press for any length of time will have failed to notice that the term Anglo-Saxon is not one of praise or endearment, to say the least. For many contemporary Frenchmen, including, but not, only journalists, the Anglo-Saxons are what the freemasons were for their predecessors in the 19th century: participants in a vague but sinister plot to control the world and destroy French civilisation.
It doesn’t matter, of course, that the so-called Anglo-Saxon countries differ considerably among themselves, in their societies, policies and interests. Roughly speaking, Anglo-Saxon means a combination of lack of savoir vivre, terrible food, ultra-liberalisme (a term of art meaning lawless capitalism red in tooth and claw) and sexual hypocrisy, that is to say a mixture of prudery and prurience.

Islamic Sharia Law Court Opens in Belgium

An Islamic Sharia law court has been established in Antwerp, the second-largest city in Belgium.
The Sharia court is the initiative of a radical Muslim group called Sharia4Belgium. Leaders of the group say the purpose of the court is to create a parallel Islamic legal system in Belgium in order to challenge the state’s authority as enforcer of the civil law protections guaranteed by the Belgian constitution.
The Sharia court, which is located in Antwerp’s Borgerhout district, is “mediating” family law disputes for Muslim immigrants in Belgium.

Muslims caught praying on the streets of Paris face police action after a new law was introduced.
The radical move, which has infuriated many, followed complaints about hundreds of men lying prostate on roads and alleyways of the French capital.
A lack of mosques is being blamed but the government said the practice had to stop.

Greece to Build First Official Mega-Mosque in Athens

The Greek Parliament has approved a controversial plan to build a taxpayer-funded mega-mosque in Athens.
The move comes amid thinly veiled threats of violence by thousands of Muslim residents of the city who have been pressuring the government to meet their demands for a mosque or face an uprising.
The September 7 vote to speed up construction of the first official mosque in Athens –- the only capital in the European Union without a state-funded mosque -– was supported by 198 out of 300 deputies from the left, right and center.
Et klart mønster tegner sig. Konservative medier får etiketten ‘højreorienteret’, hvorimod venstreorienterede får ‘uafhængig’, ‘velanset’ eller ‘troværdig’.
